In September 2022, a group of ACPGBI members including colorectal surgeons, nurses and health professionals will cycle the length of Wales, taking on some of the toughest hills in the country.
The Bums on Bikes’ team aims to raise over £75,000 for Bowel Research UK and fund vital research into bowel cancer and other bowel diseases.
The ride is a demonstration of the partnership between Bowel Research UK and ACPGBI. We work together to launch and enhance research careers, improve patient care and save lives. Supporting Bums on Bikes will enable us to keep protecting patients and nurturing the next generation of colorectal research leaders together.
Over a million people suffer from bowel disease in the UK every year and bowel cancer tragically takes the lives of over 16,000 people annually. It remains the second most deadly cancer in the UK.
This cannot be allowed to continue. That’s why Bowel Research UK is dedicated to finding effective treatments for bowel cancer and other bowel diseases, to save lives and to help people suffering with bowel conditions live a better quality of life.
Together, we can make a difference.
