Andrew Stagg

Dr Andrew Stagg is a Reader and research group lead at Queen Mary University of London. His work focuses on the regulation of immune activity in the human intestine. His group aims to understand how dendritic cells underpin the tightly regulated recognition of gut bacteria that characterises the healthy intestine and how they contribute to the dysregulated response that underlies inflammatory bowel disease.
Dr Stagg has received two small grants and funding for a PhD student from Bowel Research UK, all exploring how the immune system contributes to the development and spread of IBD within the gut. Learn more about his research here:
