What issue does this study address, and how could the results help patients?
Acidity within tumours is an important factor that impacts how cancer cells respond to drugs, and whether they release proteins that allow them to be detected by diagnostic tests.
This team propose investigating new markers related to acidity in lab-based models that could give more information about a patient’s cancer, and therefore help personalise treatment.
